Andrew Grainger has been playing the piano for over thirty five years. He holds both a Bachelors degree Pianoendand diploma in piano performance and a Masters degree in music composition. He began playing professionally in his home town of London in the mid 1980's, enjoying successful spells at several of the most distinguished hotels including the London Hilton, London Marriott and The Dorchester. He also performed for enthusiastic crowds at bars and clubs in downtown Soho.

After moving to New York in 2000 he spent seven years playing at home parties in Manhattan and the surrounding suburbs. He also participated in a wide variety of other playing and accompanying including serving as organist at St. James episcopal church, North Salem, NY; organist and pianist at Trinity Pawling Boy's School, Pawling, NY; and pianist for the seventy member choir 'Mastersingers of Westchester' in Bedford, NY. As a composer Andrew writes and produces multimedia music for a Manhattan music production company as well as on a freelance basis. Learn more at

PianoinsideIn June 2007 he moved to Austin, Texas where he has already established himself as one of the premier pianists in the area. He has played all around Austin including appearances at Chez Zee restaurant and Rocco's Grill. Together with playing weddings and parties at all the well known venues, he has become a familiar face around town.

Andrew is available as an experienced accompanist for singers and solo musicians in all genres, from Classical to Broadway. He also gives private piano lessons and currently teaches at peoples homes depending on his availability.
